With so many Moodle™ plugins available, it often gets to a point where searching for what you need is overwhelming. Over the years, we have compiled the add-ons that are most popular, functional and easy to implement. This is another compilation of well-rated plugins by the Moodle™ community, updated and compatible with Moodle™ 3.10.
Session Keepalive
We know that Moodle™ has a limited timeout when users enter the platform. And if users do not load the page, Moodle™ automatically terminates the session.
This is difficult for a course creator because he has to decide the timeout so that users who log in do not have problems with the presentation of a test.
This Moodle™ plugin by Alexander Bias and Kathrin Osswald checks user activity that is not sent in the browser and keeps the user’s session active indefinitely. This is to prevent user input from being sent to the server after the user’s session has expired.
APCu Management
APCu is a caching backend, it is kind of like a black box and does not provide a default administration interface.
This Moodle™ plugin create too by Alexander Bias and Kathrin Osswald adds an APC administration GUI as a tool. APCu Management Plugin.
HTML (on cohorts)
In Moodle™ there is an HTML block that allows adding HTML content to courses. However, the visibility of the block should be restricted to members of specific cohorts.
The HTML plugin (on cohorts) offers the possibility to selectively show the block to specific cohort members.
QuizExport
Maintained by Mallaury Gerard, Jean-Francois Vanass, Olivier Piton and Enaud Lemaire, the test report plugin exports test attempts as a PDF file. QuizExport
Structured feedback
This structured feedback plugin allows teachers to define the number of criteria when giving individual feedback comments for a student. The plugin is enabled automatically depending on the defined criteria.
This plugin is maintained by Tony Bluter and Ruslan Kabalin.
Event Reminders
Reminders are useful for both students and teachers to notify them of their scheduled events and activities before the set date.
This Moodle™ plugin will automatically send email reminders for Moodle™ calendar events in a timely manner. Local_reminders
Questions Bulk Update
This plugin is used to update questions after importing from formats, which do not enable specification of the given numbering or rating. The plugin is maintained by Vadim Dvorovenko.
Accessibility
Customize Moodle™ according to your needs. Change the text size and color scheme with this plugin. The settings have the option to be saved to be retained across sessions. This is maintained by Brickfield Education Labs.
Board
This plugin is developed and maintained by Brickfield Education and Mike Churchward. This Moodle™ add-on consists of enabling a post-it board activity for students.
