Fordson theme for Moodle – one of the best eye-catching themes available for Moodle 3.2 has been recently updated to a new version with enticing features. Plugin developer – Chris Kenniburg, has already started working for a new version of the theme compatible with the upcoming Moodle 3.3 version.
The latest release of the theme includes a brand new navigation concept. This intuitive sliding panel displays a custom list of links that help the teacher manage the course. It appears in the upper right side of the page just above the Turn Editing On button. The panel will show the most important links used by a teacher often. This is the first implementation of panel in any Moodle theme. The plans for Fordson theme includes a custom text box, icons, better descriptions, and other enhancements to make managing a Moodle course easier for the teachers.

- Added Bootstrap Carousel left and right controls to autoplay slideshow.
- Multiple styling enhancements.

Chris is also working on the Moodle 3.3 compatible version of the Fordson theme. He has shared a working prototype of the theme for Moodle 3.3 which you can download here for testing. Download the Fordson theme for Moodle 3.2 through this link.
Fordson is a child theme based on the Boost theme which was introduced in Moodle 3.2 and uses the Bootstrap 4 framework. For Moodle 3.3 version, the theme will benefit from the inclusion of font awesome icons in Moodle core.
