One of the new plugins added to the Moodle Plugins database this week is Virtual Keyboard which is a small addon for the TinyMCE text editor.
The virtual keyboard plugin adds a very much required functionality i.e. if students get the keyboard in their local language it is a great help to them and their teachers or vice versa. It also provides the capability to users with disability (who can’t use keyboard) to enter text in the Moodle’s text area.
For those who are not familiar with the tool bar, here are the buttons as grouped in their rows:
Virtual keyboard can be added in the editor toolbar from Administration > Plugins > Text editors > TinyMCE HTML editor > General settings Settings tab by adding the keyword “keyboard” in any position of the “editor_tinymce | customtoolbar ” .
You can download the virtual keyboard for TinyMCE plugin from this link: https://moodle.org/plugins/view/tinymce_virtualkeyboard The plugin is developed by DualCube Team
